Mismatched Pieces

Her heart was a puzzle presented to him, a culmination of poorly cut pieces that wouldn't fit together just right.

When others would throw it in the trash, or ask for a refund; he would stay, spending every waking second of the day trying to put the pieces together.

Captivated and in love, he was proud to call the puzzle his, even with mismatched pieces.

Light Years Away

The stars shine bright amongst the blackness of space

There's millions out there, each with a story,

And among the vast regions of space, are two perfectly aligned.

Their stories may not be the exact same, but they fit together one and the same,

And even if the worst was to come, a cosmic occurrence that causes the two to part.

Yet neither star has any semblance of fear,

Because they both know that their love will never fade.

Even several light years away.

Galaxies of various colors and hues, keep them apart

Making it impossible to get their orbits right.

They ramble for days to their cosmic neighbors,

Aiming to fill the void of not being by one another's side.

Despite all this, however, neither stays sad for long.

Because their hearts and souls are one.

Even several light years away.

Everyone questions their love.

Dubbing it no more than fake.

Neither let this drag them down.

For both know that their love grows stronger,

Each and every day,

Even several light years away.

The day will soon come,

When their host galaxies collide,

Causing the parted lovers to reunite.

They orbit close, like no two stars before,

Realization strikes that nothing can shatter their love,

Even several light years away.

The Legend of Dottingheim

A long time ago, in a kingdom ever so far from here laid a peaceful little kingdom by the name of Dottngheim. It was here that a handsome and burly king by the name of Reginald Von Dottingsby ruled lovingly over the kingdom's people.

One bright sunny day, the king met a fair maiden by the name of Sophia Dottingson, the daughter of a wealthy merchant from the Isle of Dottsworth. The two quickly fell in love and were soon wed, making the fair Sophia queen of Dottingheim. She was beloved by all, a true patron for charity who always donated time and resources to those in need. The once happy kingdom now soared into a state of utopia and it would see that King Reginald would rule forever!

Several years later, the king and queen procreated, giving birth to a young and dashing son who they named Stephen. He was a prodigy sent down to Dottingheim from the Gods, the top of his class, a wooer of women, a connoisseur of the fine arts and an excellent fighter. He was burly, handsome, wealthy and caring. Donning a ravishing top hat and monocle, Prince Stephen became a blessing to all, his gorgeous mustache and marvelous muscles captivated the townspeople, causing them to elect him as the one true protector of Dottingheim.

When the prince struck the age of 17 he became the commanding officer of Dottingheim's elite band of knights. Under his leadership the kingdom was safe from all threats for the next four years, causing young Stephen to become an absolute legend. Why it is said that he slayed the thousand guardians of the Underworld merely by flexing his burly muscles and gorgeous mustache.

However, as the old saying goes, all good things must eventually come to an end. On the prince's 21 birthday the town was attacked by none other than the barbaric alliance of Dottington and Dottle. They struck Dottingheim in the middle of the night, the kingdom under siege by the sheer volume of arrows and catapults the enemy had acquired since the prince's birth.

Raising his mighty sword, the prince fearlessly led the kingdom's elite three hundred knights in against the massive army of their attackers. The battle that ensued was long, bloody, horrifying. Casualties on both sides including the prince's parents, who's bed chambers had been struck by a catapult early into the invasion.

Three days passed and the once lush green landscape that was Dottingheim was now nothing more than a dark brown from the dried blood that coated it. Houses were reduced to ash and corpses littered the streets. Castle Dottingheim was in rumble and with the exception of a few lucky souls, Prince Stephen was the only one to survive. Horrified by the tragedy that had befallen his home, Stephen fled the kingdom in pursuit of a life away from those who would be out for his head.

After seven years of travelling, the now wise Stephen found sanctuary in a tiny forest village known as Dotton. It was here that he made love to a fair dot woman and had children... four to be exact. Their names were Dot, Dotty, Dottette and DotDot. When the children were merely toddlers, their mother succumbed to a horrible disease that ended her life abruptly. This left wise Stephen, who hides his origins under the ruse of the name Steve, to care for the children in their lovely wood cottage.

What happened to them after is lost to woes of time, though legend speaks of them surviving a great flood and discovering a new oasis to call home.

Five Little Dots

There once was five little dots; Dot, Dotty, Dottette, DotDot, and Steve. On a peculiar Saturday morning, the five little dots went outside to play but soon discovered that their land had perished. The grass was brown, the trees all fallen down. Remnants of fire lurked everywhere and the little dots, all except Steve, had not idea what to do.

"We have to move forward." Steve proclaimed.

"But where, and how?" the other little dots inquired.

"To the west, and on a raft." the self-voted leader replied.

With a quick hurrah and five hours well spent, the little dots soon had a raft fit to sail the seven seas. As high fives were exchanged and smiles found all around, the little dots all gathered atop the sturdy raft. With a mighty push and a complying wind, the little dots soon found themselves sailing steadfast on a hope-filled journey to the west.

Seven days had soon passed, and the little dots had felt that they would be scot free. This was proven wrong soon after however, as the raft they called shelter began to rattle and sunder.

            "This is it!" Dotty cried

"We're set to die!" screamed DotDot.

With fear struck in their eyes, the four other dots all turned to brave Steve, desperately seeking what to do next. Laughing and boasting, Steve showed no fear, taunting the waves knowing they would be saved.

A tidal wave struck, causing the raft to crumble and sink. The poor little dots began getting swallowed beneath the horrifying waves. Now one might wonder, why not swim? That's because they are dots, who lack human limbs.

Water weighed them down, and they soon found themselves plummeting into the ocean's depths.

"It's all over!" They thought to themselves, fear stricken and cold they had come to accept their fate.

Ocean sand pressed against their backs soon enough, and when their eyes had opened, what was to be seen? Why an oasis, so simple and clean. Running forth towards their new found home, they hollered and cheered.

"Perhaps it was not west that was best, but south where smiles strike our mouths." Steve remarked.

The Space Case

We think that we're the shit.
The best you can get.

But when you look up to the vastness of space,
You see how meaningless we are in this case.

See

Please just see,

That every word that leaves from me,

Is nothing short of the truth,

Just let me show you proof.

7 Generations Later

I hope the day will come,
Where the great great grandkids of my great great grandkids,
Wander in a world where they can be themselves.

Where love is the way of the land,
And hate is rid from this existence,

That their hands will never be stained red,
or that their faces never be scared pale.

Where Bruce Willis blew up that damn asteroid,
And Ian Ziering chainsawed through that Sharknado.

Superman comes and inspires hope,
And I dunno, Morgan Freeman is the Pope.

This message is to you
In what seems like a galaxy far, far away.

Never stop fighting,
Never stop believing.

Your spirit, that human spirit?
That is the greatest weapon of all.
Stake everything on it's greatness.

Life is simple,
You solve one problem.
Then the next, and then the next.
If you do the math one step at a time
You'll find the key to happiness.

You can do it,
You big beautiful bastards,

I believe in you.
And you should too.

Forward.

They say moving forward is the best thing to do. Forward, a direction in front of you. Forward Action. Forward Thinking. Forward, backward, sideways. Isn't it all the same? The answer is no. Move forward, think forward, act forward. But not too forward, don't want to get tased. By moving forward we become better people. Isn't that what we all want in life? To be better people? It can only happen if we move forward, towards our wants, dreams, passions, and self-betterment.

Forward is the way.
In which you can see yourself
Truly be happy.
